Meet Our Hens
Here at Fluegge Egg Ranch we make it our main focus to have healthy and happy hens. We do this by raising our chickens in a cage-free environment.
State-of-the-Art Cage-Free Housing
Cage-free means that our hens can roam our temperature controlled buildings
with unlimited access to food, fresh well water, perches, and scratch area. We follow UEP Certified Guidelines for all our hen housing.
We can't forget that the Fluegge family would not be complete without our employees that help take care of our feathered friends. Many employees have been helping us care for the hens for over 30 years. Just like our employees, we treat our chickens like family. All our hens are cage-free and live in an open building to roam wherever they please. They work hard to provide us with eggs, so we work hard to keep them happy and healthy. We feed them the best quality feed from our local feed co-op, and they always have fresh well water to stay hydrated while romping throughout their house. Every one of our 280,000 hens are loved and appreciated by our family.
