MEET THE FARMERS
August Jr started distributing eggs from his dad's ranch in 1993 when he decided a desk job as an accountant wasn't for him. He started with one truck and a handful of customers that he found himself. In 1995 August and Shea got married and began building their first hen house just a year after. They now have 3 state-of-the-art cage-free houses that hold a total of 200,000 hens. They also have a fleet of trucks and over 200 customers that they serve on a weekly basis.

August Fluegge III is the 4th generation of Fluegge's to start his own egg ranch. In 2017, August purchased the old Armstrong ranch, an egg farm that had gone out of business. August graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 2019 with a degree in Agricultural Business. That same year at the age of 22, August started his own ranch that sells eggs under the Fluegge Egg Ranch Brand. August now has 2 cage-free houses in operation with a total of 82,000 hens and is continuing expansion.
